Hi, I’m Eliana Gendelman, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve loved creating. Growing up, we had an "art room" in my house, where I would experiment with all sorts of mediums—paint, pastels, clay, metals, colored pencils, and even fabric. For years, I saw art as just a hobby, until I paired it with my love for math to pursue a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from Florida State University.
Through my studies, I discovered how the built environment shapes experiences, and that connection between design and life led me to work in architecture and design for a few years.
After some time, I took a break and transitioned into luxury art sales. This opened my eyes to the flaws of this industry. I felt as though the goal and power of art had been lost in translation and wished to bring soul back into the conversation.
While working at the gallery, I began sketching on the back of client info sheets, sparking interest. I then created a large painting for my apartment, which led to commission requests. Encouraged by this, I scanned my sketches, turned them into prints, and in an act of true vulnerability, brought them to a pop-up event. To my surprise, they sold quite well, and I knew it was time to return to my main passion: creating art.
Since then, I’ve expanded to selling paintings, prints, jewelry, embroidery, greeting cards, painted trays, furniture and personalized crafts. I continue to experiment, believing that trial and error is essential to learning. Each year brings new hobbies, and I find that creativity is the key to long-lasting happiness.
Join me on this journey as I bring joy to everyday life through my art.
The name Pink Sink Art was inspired by my grandma’s apartment. While most of the space was covered in beige tones, the bathrooms were a delightful contrast—each one was monochromatic, designed entirely in a single shade, straight out of the 80s. My favorite was the pink powder room. Everything, from the floor and wall tiles to the toilet and sink, was a soft peachy-pink. Even the built-in nooks and the porcelain faucet matched this rosy hue.
As I studied design, this bathroom kept coming to mind. Its perfect balance of function and joyful color stood out as an example of how a simple pop of color could transform a space and enhance happiness. That’s the kind of feeling I aim to capture in my work. I loved it then, and I carry that inspiration with me now.
